The Oxlee Graham Wines Fall 2024 Newsletter

It's harvest season, and this year it's a warm one! It seemed like we had just started walking vineyards and fruit was ready. The club shipments with the first Pinots of the 2023 vintage are also ready to share. These new releases are full of elegance, energy and fresh purity.

Harvest 2024 update...

This harvest marks our 3rd year and boy, has it been a busy one. We made the decision to move in to a new custom crush space for this vintage, which had to happen in between our bottling at the beginning of August and our first day of crush on August 30th. We moved all of our barrels, racks, harvest bins and tanks to the new space and adopted a couple of (new to us) tanks after moving. If that wasn't exciting enough, this warm summer brought an early start to our season and 2/3 of our fruit was in the door by September 5th. By comparison, last year that much fruit wasn't in until October 9th.  Our Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir, White Blend and Petit Verdot were the only things remaining after the 5th, but they all made their way safely in by September 26th.

In addition to our big move, we were also excited to add a second white wine to our line up this year - Albariño. It comes from a beautiful vineyard called Four Palms that is in the heart of the Russian River Valley. Fresh flavors develop well at this cool climate site.

So far the wines from this vintage have developed beautifully in our fermenters. Flavors of bright, fresh fruits, with a rich and velvety texture have been the hallmarks of this warmer vintage thus far. We look forward to following the wines through the cellar to see how they further develop.

Remember Boxlee Graham...

We launched our sister label, a box wine, called Boxlee Graham this last Spring. We weren't sure how that would go, but we were confident that if we could just convince people to give her a try, they would fall in love. And they did. We are officially SOLD OUT!  There were some people who loved it so much, they kept coming back for more - don't worry, we won't name names.

It is amazing how much fun we had with this project, so...we are doing it again! The 2024 vintage is in barrel and we plan to release this new iteration in May 2025. Mark your calendars, and if you missed out this year, make sure to grab yourself some next year - it will be just as limited and just as delicious.

Some Fun Press...

As a small brand, we have been working hard on reaching out to press, social media influencers and podcasts to try and get a bit more of our story out there. Below are some links to podcasts and articles should you be interested in more of our story.

Possibly the most exciting thing "we" have done recently is pose for the newest edition of Wine Dogs USA. Oxley will make his model debut early next year - you can see how much focus he gave to the project above.  We will be sure to let you all in on where you can get your copy when it is released.

Did you know...

We have merch! You can find it on our website in our Wine Cellar under "Shop the OG Merch". If you are in the club and want me to stick a shirt in with your club shipment, just let me know and I will get it added with shipping included.

The shirts were designed by my nephew, Kavan. He is very proud to be our Art Director. Both offer a fun way to show off your support for our tiny brand.

Let's keep it going...

We have done a lot of events these past few months and have been able to make many new friends in the process. We are so happy you are here! We have also worked on getting more wine placed in shops and wine bars throughout California, and have our sights set on moving further out soon. Check out our website to see where you can find us or our bottles next!

We are also working on preparing our new in house tasting experience...more on this very soon. We can't wait!

Your continued support means the world.

Cheers,

Jennie
