The Oxlee Graham Wines Spring 2025 Newsletter

Updated: Jun 19

It feels like spring hit the snooze button this year, slow to warm and reluctant to fully arrive. The vines haven't seemed to mind. They’ve taken to the foggy, mild days with quiet determination. Bud break is underway, and tender shoots are emerging—each one holding the promise of a strong fruit set and, with any luck, another fantastic harvest season ahead.

As the season stirs, so too does the cellar—our new releases are ready! We are so excited to introduce you to some new vineyards and inspirational women along with some new vintages of old favorites.

The new ladies on the block...

We have been so lucky to have found some amazing, small, family run vineyards to work with since the inception of this brand. With this release we get to debut two new vineyard designated wines - one that honors one of our OG sites in the Petaluma Gap and the other that brings me home to the coolest part of the Russian River Valley.

One of our first vineyard contracts we signed in 2022, the first year of our brand, was with the Gap's View Vineyard in the Petaluma Gap. The grower Eric Flanagan pulled up in his truck and showed me around the vineyard offering me a couple tons in his home block - with his warm personality and excitement for the site, I was sold. That first vintage this fruit made it's way in to the debut bottling of Dayle's Sonoma Coast, an almost instantaneous crowd pleaser. As we grew in 2023, the Dayle's wine has evolved in to more of a blend. We didn't want to lose the magic of this special site, so we decided we had to bottle a small amount to retain this small bit of OG history. And so, the Gloria's Gap's View Vineyard was born. Gloria is like my third grandma, so warm and doting - read all about her in our "The Collections" section of our shop page.

The other new wine making its debut this release is the Joan's Tanuda Ridge Vineyard. Tanuda Ridge is one of the new vineyards we started working with in 2023 - farmed by husband and wife team Mike and Lynn Rossman. The vineyard itself is only about a mile outside of the town of Occidental, and is bursting to the brim with lavender and bees. I have long loved fruit that comes from this cooler area of the Russian River Valley, and so when I found this small site with some of the most hospitable people around, I knew it was a perfect fit. This wine is named for my Aunt Joan who has been so supportive with this wine project, helping with club shipments, waxing and whatever else I can find for her to do. Read all about her in our "The Collections" section of our shop page.

Guess what?! We are now offering tastings...

We are so excited to announce that we are now able to offer tastings by appointment at our new winery space. Yay!

Jennie, our winemaker (haha, me), will be your host and will take you through a flight of current release wines. We can delve into each story and tour the winery if you want a peek behind the curtain of small lot winemaking.

Tastings will cost $30.00* and will be by advanced appointment only - reach out to me at info@oxleegrahamwines.com and I will do my best to accomodate you on a day that works best.

*NEW CLUB PERK - complimentary for club members twice a year. See "club perks" on our club page for details.

We have been getting some exciting press...

We were so excited to be included on the Food and Wine list of the "15 New California Wineries You Need to Know in 2025". It is an amazing honor to be included on a list along with other producers we truly admire.

As promised, our unofficial mascot Oxley, also will be making his debut in print in the

Wine Dogs California 6, due to be released this May. We will be getting a limited number of books with him on the cover, so stay tuned to snag yourself a copy. The above picture is a sneak peek - you will have to read the book to learn his favorite food and naughtiest deed.

We have also done some really fun podcasts, interviews and gotten some great reviews. We have added a "Press" page to our website so you can revisit anything you may have missed.

Upcoming Events...

With Spring comes event season, and we are looking forward to getting to share the wines with you in person and virtually (check out the Sommsation Sunday School) at some fun upcoming events. Including our very first Spring Release Party at the winery. We still have a few spots open, so grab yours!

What's next...

Our Spring is chock full of tasting events, wine work and vineyard visits. I am amazed that there simply doesn't seem to be a slow season for me as I continue to grow the business and expand our offerings. And that is just how I like it. Busy is good, and that is only made possible by all of you.

Your continued support means the world.

Cheers,

Jennie

Oh, and P.S. it's almost May, which means our sister brand Boxlee Graham is almost ready for their new release. Look out world, here comes a new vintage of your favorite party wine. Keep an eye out for that email, if last year is any indication, this stuff goes quick.

We'd love to hear any comments or questions below. Or head on over to our Wine Cellar to check out the current releases.
